Group Tours

Magic Cruises has made arrangements for three group tours.  If you would like go into port and tour with other group members we encourage you to purchase these tours.  Keep in mind that while these are rated moderate tours walking is required and might be over uneven terrain or cobblestones.

Tuesday Oct 1 Ephesus (Kusadasi), Turkey: Destination Highlight: Ancient Ephesus $80 per person.  Depart at 9:30am for this 3hr tour/moderate activity. Visit Ephesus, a UNESCO World Heritage site,  considered the most important ancient ruins in Turkey which dates back to the 2nd millenium BC and is mentioned prominently in the Bible. Thursday Oct 3 Volos, Greece: Traditional Pelion Villages $50 per person. Depart at 9:00am for this 3hr 30 min tour/moderate activity. Journey into Greece’s rich past with a visit to two traditional villages both nestled on the side of  Mount Pelion, where you will experience a mixture of history and architecture.  Click for more details

Saturday Oct 5 Kavala, Greece: Historic Xanthi and Nestos River $85 per person.  Depart at 8:30am for this 5hr tour/moderate activity.  The incredible vistas and rich culture of Greece or yours to explore, as you visit a river delta and a city both steeped in thousands of years of history.  Click for more details

On board credits may not be used toward payment on the group tours. However, you may use them toward the purchase of other tours or onboard services.

The majority of our group guests are originating from Columbus, OH (CMH).  With a minimum of 10 guests Magic Cruises can offer group flights booked directly with American Airlines for flights departing Columbus, OH (CMH) Sep 25 to arrive Sep 26 to coincide with the two-night pre cruise hotel package in Athens, and return Oct 7.  Deposit of $100 per person (non-refundable) is required to secure your seat on these flights.

If you cannot use the group flights, other arrangements can be made using Flights by Celebrity.  Magic Cruises can assist or you can book flights online when you access your reservation at www.celebritycruises.com.  We encourage all to arrive into Athens by September 27, the day before the cruise, to alleviate worries about travel delays the day of embarkation. If you have purchased independent air arrangements, please ensure your air schedule falls within these guidelines as Celebrity Cruises is not responsible for making any alternate arrangements or for any out of pocket expenses that may arise should you miss your cruise and/or return flight.

DISEMBARKATION in Athens (ATH): Schedule flights that depart after 11:30AM on October 7

Consider enhancing your cruise vacation with a two night pre-cruise hotel stay in Athens Sep 26-Sep 28. This will allow time for a cushion in case of delays, you can get acclimated to the time zone, and do some sightseeing.  Magic Cruises has secured 20 rooms at the President Hotel close to the heart of the city.  The rate is $489 per person (based on double occupancy) for two nights accommodation, breakfast daily, and transportation to the ship on Sep 28.  Transportation to the hotel Sep 26 will be determined based on the number of guests and flight times.
